1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using SkinGenie ("the Service"), operated by SkinGenie Technologies ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

SkinGenie is an AI-powered skincare and hair care platform that provides personalized routine recommendations, skin analysis, hair care routines, ingredient checking, and AI routine chat based on user-provided information and images. Our recommendations are generated using artificial intelligence and are intended for informational purposes only.

3. User Accounts

Some features of the Service are available without an account. Creating an account gives you access to additional features such as saving routines, tracking your skincare journey, and higher usage limits. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Subscriptions, Billing & Refunds

SkinGenie offers both free and paid subscription plans. By subscribing to a paid plan ("Pro"), you agree to pay the applicable fees as displayed at the time of purchase.

• Billing: Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) through Stripe. Your payment method will be charged automatically at the start of each billing period.
• Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you will retain access to Pro features until then.
• Refunds: We offer a 7-day refund policy for monthly and annual plans, and a 30-day refund policy for lifetime plans, from the date of your initial purchase. To request a refund, contact us at support@skingenie.beauty within the applicable refund window. Refunds are not available after this period or for renewal charges.
• Price changes: We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. Existing subscribers will be notified at least 30 days before any price increase takes effect.

5. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the Service — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, software, and AI-generated recommendations — are owned by SkinGenie Technologies and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our prior written consent.

6. User Content & Data

By submitting content to the Service (including skin images, form responses, and routine customizations), you grant us a limited license to process this content solely for the purpose of providing the Service. Your data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Skin images are processed in memory and sent directly to our AI provider for analysis — they are never stored on our servers. Ingredient images uploaded for ingredient checking are also processed in memory and are never stored on our servers. Pro subscribers who opt in to the Skin Journal feature may have their analysis photos stored securely for progress tracking purposes. Stored photos can be deleted at any time.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to circumvent usage limits or rate limiting mechanisms
• Upload content that is harmful, offensive, or violates the rights of others
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without our permission
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Service or its outputs without authorization

8. Medical Disclaimer

SkinGenie is not a medical service and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Our AI-generated skin analysis and skincare recommendations are for informational and educational purposes only. They are not a substitute for professional medical advice from a qualified dermatologist or healthcare provider. Always consult a medical professional for skin conditions, allergies, or health concerns. We are not liable for any adverse reactions or outcomes resulting from following our recommendations.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SkinGenie Technologies shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings, which will permanently remove your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
